Summer Program - Opera Schloss Laubach
The summer program Opera Schloss Laubach was founded in 2001 by Karl Georg Count of Solms-Laubach and like-minded friends of opera. The Opera Schloss Laubach is a non-profit association which serves the purpose of supporting young and highly gifted singers. For this purpose a Summer Program for young singers is being offered.
Institute 2010 ( 15.8.-5.9. )
Under the expert direction of reputable teachers of singing and stage direction every participant obtains individual training– a perfect complement to each participant's vocal and operatic studies. The closing concert, which is staged, is the perfect venue for the young singers to present arias and ensembles worked out in their classes during the summer program.
Prestigious teachers for voice and acting will be present for each participant, so that Laubach can offer the perfect complement to each participant's musical studies. The final staged concert is an excellent opportunity for young singers to present themselves in the best possible manner for an audience. The program will work with each singer preparing them for the final concert not only vocally but also scenically.
Competition
The summer course is completed by a singing competition with attractive monetary prizes which are adjudicated and awarded by an international jury of opera directors. In addition to monetary prizes the program offers engagements and concerts at co-operating opera houses. In addition participants have the opportunity to be invited to auditions at other venues. Opera Schloss Laubach, in the area of middle Hessia, has become well-known not only in German operatic circles but also attracts many talented singers from areas outside of Germany.
